Whitney Writers Corner - a Creative Journey: a year-long celebration of authorship, creativity, and independent publishing.
In conjunction with Whitney ?s Independent Author Special Collection, we will be launching Whitney Writers' Corner: a Creative Journey ? a year-long celebration of authorship, creativity, and independent publishing. This monthly series will provide tools, inspiration, and a collaborative space for emerging and established writers to share ideas, develop their craft, and explore the many facets of the writing and publishing process.
On the first Saturday of each month, we will gather for a presentation on a different writing topic and follow with a directed exercise or time to work on your own projects. Our journey will culminate in an anthology of stories, poems, essays, and illustrations that represent our community. Join us in writing ourselves into the narrative of our ever-changing world ? past, present, and future.
Some programs may change as the year progresses, driven by demand and availability, so please check with the Adult Services staff at Whitney to confirm dates, times and details.

Located in southeast Las Vegas, the Whitney Library opened in June 1994 with notable architectural design by Holmes Sabatini. This 24,500-square-foot library houses 57,500 volumes and features a 198-seat concert hall.
