Mindful Monday
Zine Making
Monday, June 08
3:00pm - 5:00pm
Zines are tiny DIY magazines where you get to create whatever you want.
What is Mindful Monday? Kick off your week with a vibe check. Mindful Monday is a chill space to breathe, destress, and make cool stuff that actually means something. Think quick mindfulness moments, creative projects with purpose, and a chance to slow down when life feels loud. Show up. Tune in. Feel better walking out than you did walking in.
This week's activity: Zine Making
This is your chance to turn your ideas, opinions, art, and random brain?sparks into something real. Zines are DIY mini?magazines you can fill with anything — comics, poetry, collages, rants, reviews, or whatever you want to put into the world. No rules, no grades, just pure self?expression. In this teen?only workshop, you’ll learn how to design, fold, cut, and assemble your own zines using simple materials. We’ll explore different styles, swap inspiration, and build a space where your voice actually gets heard. Come make something messy, meaningful, and totally you.
For teens ages 12-17, located in the Flamingo Teen Lab on the main floor.
Supplies are limited and on a first come, first served basis.
Teens may be asked to show student I.D.

Originally opening in 1966 as a three-room library within the Airport Annex building, the Clark County Library moved in 1967 to a storefront. In 1971, the library moved again to its current location using deeded land from the County and with money awarded by the Max C. Fleishman Foundation. The building went on to have two remodels: one completed in 1986, and the second completed in 1994, which resulted in the three-story, 120,000-square-foot building it is today. This redesign notably included a 399-seat theater and an 80-seat black box theater/dance studio. The Library District also added the Best Buy Teen Tech Center, which provides a place for teens to explore and master new technologies and digital skills.
