An interactive youth safety workshop teaching situational awareness, emergency response, and how to act before first responders arrive.
Before the Sirens™ is a youth safety and emergency preparedness program designed to equip teens with the awareness, confidence, and basic skills needed to respond in real-life situations. Participants will learn situational awareness, how to recognize emergencies, when and how to call 911, and basic response strategies such as choking and bleeding awareness.
June 23, 2026 is Part 1 of a two-part experience, with an opportunity to return for CPR & First Aid certification on June 25, 2026.
This program is geared for teens, grades 6-12th.
Registration is required.

The Windmill Library opened in May 2011 in the southwest part of Las Vegas. This 30,693-square-foot, energy efficient location was built using sustainable design and construction practices, houses over 95,700 volumes, and features a 300-seat auditorium. The adjacent Service Center houses the Library District’s administrative offices, support functions, and processing center.
