Each participant will create a creature inspired by a folktale, legend, or myth from their own cultural background.
Through this process, the community explores storytelling, heritage, and imagination while learning traditional paper-mâché techniques.

The mining town of Searchlight is located halfway between Las Vegas and Laughlin. The first library opened in 1969 and moved into a joint facility in July 1989. Constructed with funds from the Federal Block Grant, the 1,200-square-foot library houses over 4,600 volumes and shares a building with the Colorado River Food Bank and the Searchlight Museum.
