Mythic Reflections:
A Dramatic Exploration of the Psyche
Sunday, June 28
11:00am - 12:00pm
Enterprise Library
Multipurpose RoomDive deep into the timeless narratives of world mythology to explore the universal themes that shape human experience.
Participants in groups will receive a classic myth from world mythology and collaborate to bring its core drama to life.
We will move beyond simply reading the stories. Using improvisational acting, you will step into the roles of gods, heroes, and tricksters to embody their conflicts, motivations, and fatal flaws. Following each dramatic interpretation, we will reflect on the powerful psychological effects and archetypal lessons embedded within the narrative: How does Icarus?s hubris mirror our own ambition? What does Sedna?s sacrifice tell us about betrayal and anger?
Unleash your creativity, challenge your perspective, and discover how ancient stories still resonate within our modern minds. No acting experience is required, just an open mind and a willingness to explore the rich tapestry of the human psyche through performance.
