Commemorate Juneteenth with local Las Vegas black artist Harold Bradford, in this introduction of watercolor techniques. Supplies will be provided for the class.
Harold Bradford is an accomplished artist and has prominent designs here in Las Vegas. His influence on our community can be seen through his iconic Las Vegas art and signs. Designed at Young Electric Sign Company, YESCO, some of his work includes the Rio Hotel and Casino, the Stratosphere, and Buffalo Bill's at Primm.
He also created the Historic West Las Vegas sign commemorating the community, and has served on the Clark County Public Arts Committee as well as the 1 October Memorial Committee.
There are numerous more accolades from Mr. Bradford, including him being a co-founder to the Left of Center Art Gallery.

Opened in August 1993, the Summerlin Library is located on six-acres of donated land by the Howard Hughes Corporation. This 40,165-square-foot library houses 59,200 volumes and features a 291-seat proscenium theater complete with an orchestra pit and fly loft.
