Teen Zine
Create your own 'zines!
Wednesday, June 17
1:00pm - 3:00pm
What is a zine? Join us for chats about zines, zine culture, and, of course, making your own! We'll focus on 8-page, smaller zines to get everyone started and create a space for our local zines!
Ok, so what IS a zine? It's a self-published, DIY, sometimes handmade mini magazine! It includes the creator's (or zinester's) observations, thoughts, and experiences.
We'll be focusing on a simple, 8x11 folded into an 8-page zine. We'll have the supplies to make your own handmade edition or show you how to do it on a simple Word document or using Canva.
Start your first edition today! We'll make some copies so you can distribute on your own or leave them for others to grab on our own zine shelf! Then return to start work on your next edition!
This program is free and open to the public and intended for grades 6-12. Space, seating, and supplies are available on a first-come, first-served basis and while they last. For more information, please call the Library at 702.879.3845.
