3D Printing Training copy
Thursday, May 28
2:00pm - 3:30pm
Learn the basics of using a 3D printer and explore how 3D printing works, how to prepare digital models for printing, and how to safely operate the Library District's 3D Printers.
During this training, participants will learn the essential parts of a Prusa 3D printer, how to use PrusaSlicer to prepare digital files, and how to send print jobs through OctoPrint. After completing the training, participants will be able to use the Library District's 3D Printing Stations.
Please review the 3D Printing Handbook and take the 3D Printing Quiz prior to the training as it MUST be completed, and passed with 100%, before the 3D printing credentials are added to your card. Don't worry if you don't get 100% the first time at home! During this class, you will have hands-on training that will be easier because of your review and you can retake the test.
This class is free and open to the public for ages 10+. A library card in good standing is required to sign up for the training and use the Library District's 3D printers.
This program is available by registration only, and only one person may register for each training session. If the registered participant does not arrive within 10 minutes of the scheduled start time, the appointment may be cancelled.
