Colors and the World of Art is a fun, family friendly program that introduces children to art history through coloring, scavenger hunts, identifying artworks, storytelling, and engaging games. Children will explore world famous masterpieces, from the Mona Lisa to Monet, while experiencing a museum style environment inside the library’s Homework Help Center. This program makes art history approachable, creative, and enjoyable for all.
Instructor:
Talia Bega is a historian and author from Chicago with a focus on medieval history and art history. From a young age, she knew art was her passion and now enjoys sharing that passion with children and families.

Designed by HAS Architects, the Rainbow Library originally opened as a storefront in 1985. In March 1994, the library moved to its present 26,800-square-foot facility. Located northwest in the city, just off I-95, this location serves its active residents with over 70,300 volumes and features an outdoor amphitheater.
