Hispanic history should be told by those who experienced it. At East Las Vegas Library we are working to
preserve the story of Hispanic history, accomplishments and legacies through our oral history project. You can be part of our project by sharing your story.
This project aims to engage the Hispanic and Latino/LatinX community in the collection of historical data, current events, and to tell the story of the past, present, and future of the Hispanic community in the greater Las Vegas area. This is a guided interview in which you will have the opportunity to tell your personal story and contribute to the recording the richness of Hispanic, Latino/LatinX culture and history.

La historia hispana debe ser contada por quienes la vivieron. En la Biblioteca del Este de Las Vegas, estamos trabajando para preservar la historia, los logros y el legado hispano a través de nuestro proyecto de historia oral. Puedes formar parte de nuestro proyecto compartiendo tu historia.
Este proyecto busca involucrar a la comunidad hispana y latina/LatinX en la recopilación de datos históricos y eventos actuales, y en contar la historia del pasado, presente y futuro de la comunidad hispana en el área metropolitana de Las Vegas. Esta es una entrevista guiada en la que tendrás la oportunidad de compartir tu historia personal y contribuir a la riqueza de la cultura e historia hispana, latina/LatinX.

This 41,015-square-foot library was completed in 2019 and is in the heart of the Latino community serving its residents with over 50,000 volumes. As the newest addition to the Library District, this location emphasizes many Spanish and bilingual materials, resources, and programs. It offers career services through the EmployNV Career Hub, where customers have access to computer labs, skills training, and employment programs, as well as the Built from Scratch Tech Lab, which provides access to music production and video editing workstations, DJ equipment, and a sound booth.
