In partnership with AARP, the Library District is proud to provide free tax assistance to Southern Nevada residents over the age of 18 during tax season.
AARP Foundation Tax Aide offers free tax preparation to anyone of age, especially those over age 50 or can't afford paid tax preparation. Available at Clark County Library on Thursdays & Saturdays through April 12, 2025, from 10am-3pm, by appointment only. Please call 702.381.6081 and leave a message with your name and telephone number. An AARP representative will be in contact to set your appointment. Or, you can also go online to the AARP website at https://www.aarp.org/findtaxhelp to schedule your appointment. Prior to your appointment, please pick up an intake booklet at the Clark County Library adult services desk. Fill in and sign intake booklet before arriving to your appointment. The intake form can also be downloaded at https://www.nvtaxaide.org/taxpayer-information. Bring your 2024 tax return, all IRS letters and a blank check. Please arrive 5-10 minutes before appointment.
For appointments on March 1, the tax preparation will be held in the Paul C. Blau Theatre.

Originally opening in 1966 as a three-room library within the Airport Annex building, the Clark County Library moved in 1967 to a storefront. In 1971, the library moved again to its current location using deeded land from the County and with money awarded by the Max C. Fleishman Foundation. The building went on to have two remodels: one completed in 1986, and the second completed in 1994, which resulted in the three-story, 120,000-square-foot building it is today. This redesign notably included a 399-seat theater and an 80-seat black box theater/dance studio. The Library District also added the Best Buy Teen Tech Center, which provides a place for teens to explore and master new technologies and digital skills.
