This program is in support of the East Las Vegas Library's yearly art installation and community project. This years theme is Cielo Tejido and is inspired by those created in Jalisco, Mexico. Staff and community members will be crocheting large hexagons in five different patterns until November. These hexagons will be stitched together to create a large woven sky canopy. This class is a beginners crochet class to teach the five patterns we will using for this community project. However, those who already know how to crochet are called to action as well. Please join us in creating a colorful and vibrant representation of the talent and creativity of our community. The Cielo Tejido will be on display the week of Dia de Muertos leading up to the main event. Don't miss out in your chance to share your talents, we need all crocheters to reach our goal, beginners to experienced crocheters are welcome! We also have coffee, mexican sweet bread, and other pastries to enjoy during the program.
