AuditoriumA marathon of all the documentaries in the City of Las Vegas
Funded by the Commission for the Las Vegas Centennial, the first documentary episode, “The City of Las Vegas: The Early Years,” was released May 15, 2019, and focused on the founding and first 20 years of the community. All episodes were produced by Boyd Productions LLC and were released near May 15 each consecutive year, as that is the date of the anniversary of the founding of the city of Las Vegas, Nevada. Join us as we stream these historic productions!
The entire decades series will be shown as a marathon May 15 and 17 on channel 2. Each of the documentaries, as well as other historical films, may be viewed on YouTube at the viewer’s convenience. The series will air May 15 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and May 17 from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The documentaries include:

The Windmill Library opened in May 2011 in the southwest part of Las Vegas. This 30,693-square-foot, energy efficient location was built using sustainable design and construction practices, houses over 95,700 volumes, and features a 300-seat auditorium. The adjacent Service Center houses the Library District’s administrative offices, support functions, and processing center.
