Korabo brings the excitement of Japanese drumming to the Summerlin Library Performing Arts Center.
This local group has been in Las Vegas since 2010. Feel the heart-pounding rhythm of the powerful iconic Japanese-style drums. Korabo is joined by their friends who showcase beautiful traditional dance from Japan and Hawai'i.
Korabo Taiko was founded in 2010 and has continued teaching classes and performing throughout the Las Vegas Valley. They have performed for many schools and corporate events, local Japanese festivals and have performed for the grand openings of major casinos like Resorts World and Fontainebleau. The group is led by original founder Gene Sugano who is a third-generation Japanese-American who grew up far removed from his Japanese heritage, but now embraces it through drumming and being a part of the Las Vegas Japanese community.
