Saskia and Marta (of Medusa) will take students on a historical journey of their unique instruments, giving further insight into how their instruments were resurrected from near-extinction, how they sound the way they do, and what kinds of music they traditionally play. This is an opportunity for music enthusiasts of all ages to learn about some of the rarest instruments in the world. Depending on the size and age of the group, participants will also be invited to try the instruments themselves.

Opened in August 1993, the Summerlin Library is located on six-acres of donated land by the Howard Hughes Corporation. This 40,165-square-foot library houses 59,200 volumes and features a 291-seat proscenium theater complete with an orchestra pit and fly loft.
