Amelia Day in Concert
Clark County Library's Summer Concert Series
Sunday, July 19
2:00pm - 3:30pm
Clark County Library
Main TheaterAmelia Day is a musical jack-of-all trades. Now, rising out of Nashville, she delivers melody-driven songs packed with alt-rock grit, pop-bright hooks, and swooning keyboards.
Her lyrics and sound proves that she’s one of the most exciting voices to watch. Reminiscent of songwriting greats like Joni Mitchell and Paul Simon, Amelia’s powerhouse vocals draw comparisons to Brandi Carlile, Norah Jones, Alanis Morissette, and others. Many of her songs are shaped by her intimate relationships, where her queerness and candor take center stage.
Amelia is proficient on guitar, keys, bass, and drums often switching between instruments during her live performances. Sometimes she steps away from the instruments to simply sing and dance with mic in hand. Her heartfelt storytelling, raw delivery, and unforgettable melodies feel both fresh and familiar – like rediscovering an old favorite.

Originally opening in 1966 as a three-room library within the Airport Annex building, the Clark County Library moved in 1967 to a storefront. In 1971, the library moved again to its current location using deeded land from the County and with money awarded by the Max C. Fleishman Foundation. The building went on to have two remodels: one completed in 1986, and the second completed in 1994, which resulted in the three-story, 120,000-square-foot building it is today. This redesign notably included a 399-seat theater and an 80-seat black box theater/dance studio. The Library District also added the Best Buy Teen Tech Center, which provides a place for teens to explore and master new technologies and digital skills.
