WorkshopWander from the Queen?s Garden to the Cottage Garden and through the Witch?s Garden in a whimsical look at plants with extraordinary stories.
Join folklorist, rotten botanist, and author Varla Ventura for an exploration of some of the world’s most enchanted plants. Beginning in the Queen’s Garden of cultivars, the journey continues into the Cottage Garden, where ordinary plants reveal extraordinary stories.
Passing through the iron gates of the Witch’s Garden, discover poison plants that have shaped history. The exploration then moves through meadowlands, forests, and the sea, highlighting plants both common and uncommon.
From the ordinary apple to the fabulous foxglove, this discussion explores plants that have played a significant role in fairy tales, folklore, and history.
