Food Pick-Up: An Indian Springs Food Rescue
Special Grab and Go Boxes
Saturday, July 04
11:00am - 12:00pm
Stop by the Library for some fresh proteins, produce, prepared salads, and treats! This program is brought to you by amazing volunteers, Three Square, Celestial Manna, Smith's, and Trader Joe's!
This event is different from our usual Saturday Food Pick-Up. Due to the Library being closed for Independence Day, we will be be doing grab-and-go boxes ONLY. We'll resume our regular Saturday Food Pick-Up event next week!
For this event:
- We'll get you signed in when we start and get you a box with a variety of protein(s), produce, and breads. We won't have our usual shopping boutique event.
- Please keep in mind the heat and that restrooms will not be accessible because the building will be closed.
- The Library will not be providing our regular services, only food pick-up. We'll resume our regular services on Tuesday, July 7.
If our volunteers are ready, we'll start as early as 10:45 to get everyone back home and out of the heat, but we aren't usually ready any earlier.
This event is free and open to the public. Boxes will be on a first-come, first-served basis and are limited. Our goal is to get you your food, out of the heat, and back to the holiday weekend as fast as possible. We'll go until all the food is done or there is no longer a line, so the ending time is an estimate. Please call us at 702.507.4306 or 702.879.3845 to see if we are still going.

Combined with the Senior Center, the Indian Springs Library opened in its current facility in February 1987. This 1,200-square-foot library houses over 4,800 volumes and serves nearly 1,000 residents, most of which are military personnel and their families from the Nevada Test Site and Training Range.
