Celebrate Day of the Dead/Dia de los Muertos at the East Las Vegas Library. Free and open to the public.
Join the East Las Vegas Library in partnership with Chicanos Por La Causa for our fourth annual Día de los Muertos celebration, where the community is invited to come and honor their loved ones who have departed. Enjoy traditional Mexican crafts for all ages, a community ofrenda, car show, mural painting, live music and dancing with the celebration ending in a lively calaverita parade through the library and outdoor plaza.
Acompáñenos en la biblioteca de East Las Vegas en asociación con Chicanos Por La Causa para nuestra cuarta celebración anual del Día de los Muertos, donde la comunidad está invitada a participar y honrar a aquellos seres queridos que ya no están con nosotros. Disfrute de artesanías tradicionales Mexicanas para todas las edades, una ofrenda comunitaria, una exposición de autos, pintura de mural, música y baile en vivo, con la celebración terminando en un desfile animado de calaveritas por la biblioteca y la plaza.

This 41,015-square-foot library was completed in 2019 and is in the heart of the Latino community serving its residents with over 50,000 volumes. As the newest addition to the Library District, this location emphasizes many Spanish and bilingual materials, resources, and programs. It offers career services through the EmployNV Career Hub, where customers have access to computer labs, skills training, and employment programs, as well as the Built from Scratch Tech Lab, which provides access to music production and video editing workstations, DJ equipment, and a sound booth.
