The Nevada Office of Suicide Prevention is pleased to provide improved education regarding Safe Messaging on Suicide.
Studies and research have concluded that the way we talk about suicide can have long-lasting impacts on someone with lived experience with suicide. It is crucial for our communities to use consistent language to frame discussing or reporting on suicide. This will help prevent future suicides and to destigmatize the conversations surrounding.
