A conscious conversation is a style of dialogue that aims to build connections and overcome differences by being fully present, listening actively, and responding with care.
Using a conscious conversation style, each of these workshops, led by Ava Mucikyan, founder and CEO of The Salt Room, is designed to create a safe space for open communication and understanding while focusing on a specific topic including:
February 20: The Art of Self Care

March 6: Demystifying Happiness
Happiness isn’t a mystery; it is a mindset. Learn how to find happiness in the every day moments you take for granted.
March 20: Addressing the Inner Critic
How many times have you stopped doing something because it wasn’t perfect, because you were ashamed or got scared of public judgement? Learn how to overcome the fear of being judged.
April 3: Overcoming Fears
As a child we are very in touch with our feelings and emotions. We know what we want and we are not afraid to go for it. Rediscover your courage to connect with your authentic self and follow your dreams.

Originally operating out of a storefront on Brush Street, the West Charleston Library opened in its current location in January 1993. This 38,900-square-foot building is located on the northeast corner of the College of Southern Nevada’s Charleston Campus. This location, which features a Digital Memory Preservation Lab, serves its student population and residents with over 67,000 volumes and features a 276-seat lecture hall.
