The growing community of Sandy Valley began in the 1800s as the four mining communities of Kingston, Sandy, Ripley, and Platina. The library, which started as a closet in the old Community Center in 1984, now occupies 1,200-square-feet in the shared Community Center. This unique location houses over 6,200 volumes and serves 1,700 residents.
