Participants of this workshop will make collage zines in the gallery.
EXTRA EXTRA! Announcing, Collage Classifieds: a collage zine workshop in collaboration with scrambled eggs and CoZi LV. Led by artists, Anny Ayala Ortega and Gina Parham, and featuring current Sahara West Library exhibiting artist, Alexa Gilweit. We will be making zines and collage using vintage materials from the 90s and earlier. Alexa will speak briefly on her practice and share some of her reference material for us to use followed by a live zine-making demo by Anny and Gina.
All materials will be provided, but if you have your own materials you’d like to bring, please do! Collage Classifieds is FREE AND OPEN TO ALL AGES AND EXPERIENCE LEVELS. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis and may be limited. See you there!

Access Info: Free parking is available on the north and west side of the library via Sahara Avenue and Grand Canyon Drive. Plenty of accessible parking spaces with ramps located near pick-up and drop-off areas. The workshop will take place in the Studio gallery space on the first floor of the library. It has wheelchair access; no stairs needed for access. A set of gendered restrooms with accessible stalls and baby changing stations are located near the entrance and next to the gallery space.
