Families will use the design process to build their own carnival games, just like Lyla and her friends in Lyla in the Loop. In partnership with Vegas PBS, this workshop is for children 6-8 years old.
Step right up! In this hands-on workshop, families will use the design process. Create, Test, and Improve to build their own carnival games, just like Lyla and her friends in Lyla in the Loop. Through playful problem-solving, kids and caregivers will explore engineering, creativity, and teamwork while bringing their carnival ideas to life!

The West Las Vegas Library opened to the Historic Westside Neighborhood on D Street in 1973 before moving to its current location on Lake Mead Boulevard in January 1989. In addition to offering a 298-seat theater, the African American Special Collection, and a state-of-the-art robot lab, this 38,900-square-foot library houses 27,700 volumes and has become a prominent part of the community.
