The workshop is open to families with children PreK-12th grade. Activities added and families now receive a free SEL book.
This workshop parenting program focuses on improving young children’s social-emotional learning (SEL) and school readiness skills. The program engages parents/caregivers and children in enjoyable, educational activities and supports SEL for the whole family. This program aims to encourage:
Understanding one’s own emotions and recognizing others' thoughts, feelings, and points of view
Building a "can-do" mindset
Developing problem-solving skills
Encouraging effective communication and mindfulness
Open and free to the public. Limited to 12 families. Registration is required and per family. Families are expected to attend all seven sessions. For more information, and to register for the program, please call 702.397.2690.

The Moapa Valley Library first opened in 1967 and expanded to its existing 4,700-square-foot facility in June 1987. Located 60-miles northeast of Las Vegas, it serves 13,000 residents throughout Moapa Valley and the communities of Overton and Logandale with over 23,500 volumes.
