The workshop is open to families with children PreK-12th grade. Activities added and families now receive a free SEL book.
This workshop parenting program focuses on improving young children's social-emotional learning (SEL) and school readiness skills. The program engages parents/caregivers and children in enjoyable, educational activities and supports SEL for the whole family. This program aims to encourage:
Understanding one's own emotions and recognizing others' thoughts, feelings, and points of view
Building a "can-do" mindset
Developing problem-solving skills
Encouraging effective communication and mindfulness

The Sunrise Library, a 22,900-square-foot building, is located on the east side of the Las Vegas Valley near Sunrise Mountain and close to Nellis Air Force Base. Serving its many residents since October 1987, this library features 53,500 volumes and serves a dense student population with several schools within its service area.
