Celebrate Black History month with Vegas City Opera and their amazing performance of Black Girl Magic.
What is Black Girl Magic? This one-of-a-kind show centers around the amazingness of the Black Woman and her role in impacting society and the magic she brings to the world. A variety of dynamic and talented artists will perform music of some of the most prolific women throughout history. This show will explore the contributions of women you may never heard of to current women who are sprinkling their magical dust on the next generation. Black Girl Magic will feature works from Florence Price, Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin, Beyonce and many more.

Originally operating out of a storefront on Brush Street, the West Charleston Library opened in its current location in January 1993. This 38,900-square-foot building is located on the northeast corner of the College of Southern Nevada’s Charleston Campus. This location, which features a Digital Memory Preservation Lab, serves its student population and residents with over 67,000 volumes and features a 276-seat lecture hall.
