Umoja means UNITY.
It's a day jam-packed with laughter and friendly competition.
Family Game Day will include board games and movies for families to unite with the community to create lasting memories.
Umoja is the first principle of Kwanzaa, a community holiday that takes place on December 26th. The Swahili word Umoja means "unity" and emphasizes the importance of togetherness in the family, community, nation, and race. It has roots in African collectivism, which encourages people to work together toward common goals.
