Celebrate Black History Month and Whitney Library's Independent Author Collection! This dynamic event will feature local and national authors of color.
In celebration of Black History Month, the Black Author Business Expo will highlight Whitney Library’s Independent Author Collection. Authors from Las Vegas and across the country will showcase their works, particularly highlighting authors of color. This event will offer the community an opportunity to meet and support these authors, learn about their works, and engage in important discussions around diverse storytelling. The event will include author vendor tables in the art gallery and conference room, author talks, an open panel discussion in the concert hall, and special story times in the Youth Services area.

Located in southeast Las Vegas, the Whitney Library opened in June 1994 with notable architectural design by Holmes Sabatini. This 24,500-square-foot library houses 57,500 volumes and features a 198-seat concert hall.
