A celebration concert honoring veterans and active-duty service members with songs from Broadway and Opera.
Continuing the Veteran's Day Celebration, Opera Las Vegas will sing the praises of all those who serve. The program ranges from lighthearted Broadway fare (I'm in Love With a Soldier Boy, Over There, The Army's Made a Man Out of Me); and operetta (Modern Major General, Stouthearted Men); to selections from operatic "soldiers" in Carmen, The Daughter of the Regiment, and The Elixir of Love. The Youth Chorus will chime in with Faust's famous Soldier Chorus. The grand finale from The Chocolate Soldier will sum up the presiding sentiment of the concert: Hero Mine.
Free and open to the public. Seating is first-come, first-served, and may be limited. Call 702.507.6068 for more information.
