Practice speaking English in a supportive environment! This workshop is open to the public and Adult Learning Program students to build confidence through guided discussion and real-life practice.
The English Language Conversation Workshop is designed to help learners build confidence and fluency through regular speaking practice. This workshop is open to members of the general public and students currently enrolled in our Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced ESL courses. It provides a welcoming space where participants can practice English in real-life conversation with others who are also developing their language skills.
During each session, participants will engage in structured and informal conversations on a variety of everyday topics such as work, school, community, culture, and current events. Activities may include small-group discussions, partner conversations, role-playing, and guided speaking prompts that help learners practice vocabulary, pronunciation, and listening skills.
This conversation workshop focuses on creating a comfortable, supportive, and interactive environment where participants can improve their speaking skills, meet new people, and gain confidence using English in everyday situations. No tests or grades are required—just come ready to practice, listen, and communicate.

The West Las Vegas Library opened originally as a storefront on “D” Street in 1973, and later growing to a 16,000+ square-foot, stand-alone branch on West Lake Mead Boulevard in 1989, the new location on North Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard reflects another important milestone in the Library District’s service to this neighborhood. Spanning two stories at 41,000+ square feet, the library’s spectacular new home is more than double the size of its predecessor. In addition to offering an Event Center, 3D Printing Lab, the Historical African American Collection, and Digital Memories Preservation Lab, this 41,000-square-foot library houses an all-new collection of 60,000 volumes.
