Learn the basics of using a 3D printer and explore how 3D printing works, how to prepare digital models for printing, and how to safely operate the Library District's 3D Printers.
During this training, participants will learn the essential parts of a Prusa 3D printer, how to use PrusaSlicer to prepare digital files, and how to send print jobs through OctoPrint. After completing the training, participants will be able to use the Library District’s 3D Printing Stations.
Participants are welcome to review the 3D Printing Handbook to gain familiarity with the content that will be addressed in the training before attending. While reading the handbook is encouraged, it is not required for the training. The 3D Printing Quiz is also available for those who would like to test their knowledge after reading the handbook.
This class is free and open to the public for ages 10+. A library card is not required to attend the training; however, a library card in good standing is required to use the Library District’s 3D printers.
This program is available by registration only, and only one person may register for each training session. If the registered participant does not arrive within 10 minutes of the scheduled start time, the appointment may be cancelled.
