Celebrate Black History Month by listening to the book Crown: An Ode to the Fresh Cut and creating a street art style self-portrait.
Celebrate Black History Month with West Las Vegas Library by creating street art style self-portraits. Children will read Crown: An Ode to the Fresh Cut by Derrick Barnes, discuss ways to celebrate self-love and self-care, and create street art style portraits as seen in the book. This free program is appropriate for children ages 6-12; a library card is not required to attend. Supplies may be limited and are available on a first come, first serve basis. Please call West Las Vegas Library at 702.507.3983 with questions.
