Celebrate a rich African-American operatic legacy with a tribute concert to honor wide-ranging accomplishments of beloved singers and composers who triumphed in spite of often daunting routes to acceptance and inclusion. Some of the Southwest’s most acclaimed singers will captivate audiences with selections and informative narration recalling many of Operadom’s stellar Black operatic practitioners.

Located in southeast Las Vegas, the Whitney Library opened in June 1994 with notable architectural design by Holmes Sabatini. This 24,500-square-foot library houses 57,500 volumes and features a 198-seat concert hall.
