Have you ever wondered what goes into a time capsule? Stop by the West Las Vegas Time Capsule Creation class to learn about time capsules and create your very own! This free program is appropriate for children of all ages; a library card is not required to attend. Supplies are limited and are available on a first come, first serve basis. The West Las Vegas Library opened to the Historic Westside Neighborhood on D Street in 1973 before moving to its current location on Lake Mead Boulevard in January 1989. In addition to offering a 298-seat theater, the African American Special Collection, and a state-of-the-art robot lab, this 38,900-square-foot library houses 27,700 volumes and has become a prominent part of the community.
