Healthy Me is a fun, interactive program that helps children build confidence, make healthy choices, and develop important social and emotional skills through the power of stories.
6-week workshop series presented by UNR Extension 4-H Youth Development
Each session features a children's book, engaging discussions, and hands-on activities that encourage youth to practice positive behaviors they can use at home,
in school, and with friends. Youth will explore topics such as:
- Building self-confidence
- Making and keeping healthy friendships
- Solving problems and handling challenges
- Making smart, responsible decisions
- Understanding and respecting differences
- Developing healthy habits
- Practicing kindness and mindfulness
- Recognizing positive and negative influences
Healthy Me helps children grow into confident, caring, and resilient individuals while fostering a lifelong love of reading.
Free and open to the public.
This workshop series is for kids ages 5-8 years old.

The Windmill Library opened in May 2011 in the southwest part of Las Vegas. This 30,693-square-foot, energy efficient location was built using sustainable design and construction practices, houses over 95,700 volumes, and features a 300-seat auditorium. The adjacent Service Center houses the Library District’s administrative offices, support functions, and processing center.
