Lecture HallThree drops of magic. One mother's love. Everything at stake. Experance an old Welsh myth with original songs, marionettes, and shadow puppets.
One of the most beloved Welsh myths is brought to life on the stage with music, marionettes, theatrical storytelling, shadow puppets and a bubbling cauldron of inspired stew. The Cauldron Crone is an original retelling and reshaping of a story revolving around themes of inspiration, broken families, sacrifice and the often overlooked power of the crone.
Experience the shape-shifting magic of Cerridwen, The Cauldron Crone, as she painstakingly brews a potion containing the three blessed drops of inspiration for her disfigured child Morfran, the most hideous boy in the land. A year and a day later, when the three drops are ready, nothing goes as planned. In order to save her son from a life of ridicule and shame, Cerridwen is confronted with an unexpected choice.
Free and open to the public. Seating is limited. For more information, please call the library branch at 702.507.3964
