Celebrate Hispanic Heritage month with a heartfelt exploration of how creating a personal home ofrenda "an altar of memory" can honor the lives of those we've loved and lost. In this lecture, you'll discover the significance of crafting sacred spaces filled with photos, keepsakes, and offerings, transforming remembrance into a lasting celebration of life. Learn how these altars not only preserve cherished memories but also keep the spirit of your loved ones alive in your home and heart.
Join Isaias Urrabazo for a craft of painting monarch butterflies, which symbolize the cycle of birth and death. Isaias is an accomplished singer, actor, public speaker, costume designer, and artist who has won two Best in Show awards and three People's Choice awards for his Day of the Dead artwork at the annual Springs Preserve Dia de los Muertos festival in Las Vegas.

One of the Library District’s largest branches at 122,000-square-feet, the Sahara West Library opened in January 1997 under the architectural design of Meyer, Scherer & Rockcastle, Ltd of Minneapolis and local architectural firm, Tate & Snyder. This location serves residents with its 159,000 volumes, has two art galleries, and features an EmployNV Business Hub, which provides resources for employers to recover and grow their businesses.
