AuditoriumAcclaimed pianist and composer Philip Daniel brings a genre-defying performance to the stage blending classical technique with cinematic atmosphere and minimalist textures.
Originating from Lincoln, Nebraska, Philip Daniel is a distinguished pianist and composer, acclaimed for his ability to evoke powerful emotions thru his music. He holds a Masters degree in Piano Performance from the UMKC Conservatory and a Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from Hastings College.
He has cultivated a musical voice that gracefully merges classical elements, cinematic qualities and minimalist characteristics. His main vehicle is the piano merged w/ electronics/percussion and Daniel’s compositions resonate w/ both seasoned musicians and casual listeners, creating a profound impact on a diverse audience.
In addition to his solo projects, he has established a niche full-time career writing music for dance. He has worked w/ notable companies such as Jacob Jonas, Whim Whim, Salt Dance, and most recently the Kansas City Ballet Company to name a few. His music has been listened to over 100 million times and featured in countless films worldwide.

The Windmill Library opened in May 2011 in the southwest part of Las Vegas. This 30,693-square-foot, energy efficient location was built using sustainable design and construction practices, houses over 95,700 volumes, and features a 300-seat auditorium. The adjacent Service Center houses the Library District’s administrative offices, support functions, and processing center.
