The Wild West Fiddle Project (WWFP) brings the sound of the old Southwest to Las Vegas with an afternoon full of participative music, dance, and lore. Join fiddler Kate Rose & guitarist Armand Ramirez as they recreate, and revive the Celtic, Hispanic, Native, cowboy, and other traditions that shaped our region so we can all come together and enjoy them again.
Music Workshop at 1:00 pm
Bring your instruments and join us for a hands-on workshop diving into the roots of Southwest fiddle music. Kate Rose draws from her years among the farmer-fiddlers of Ireland’s west coast while guitarist Armand Ramirez brings a lifetime of masterful playing in Latin and Hispanic musical traditions, adding rhythmic fire and depth. All musicians welcome. If you don’t have an instrument, you can observe, lilt, whistle, dance, or use our simple percussion instruments. Kids with independence and focus, or guided by parents, are also welcome.
Interactive Concert at 2:30 pm
A unique toe-tapping show packed with Irish reels, borderland polkas, cowboy mazurkas, lore of the Southwest, and plenty of options to participate with tambourines, dance demos, and more. Expect blazing fiddle, rich guitar, and dynamic synergy. Together, the sound is rooted, innovative, and pulsing with life. All ages and abilities welcome!
Community Dance at 4:00pm
