Chalk It Up! returns for another festive year, showcasing some of the area's most talented artists as they create vibrant chalk artwork right before our eyes at the Summerlin Library.
Other activities include music, caricaturists, face painting, shadow puppets, arts and crafts, food trucks, and the fan-favorite chalk art awards ceremony.

See the artists chalking up masterpieces live and in person. This year’s lineup features Alexandria Pereda, Ashanti McGee, CKW Artistry, Dyron Boyd, Eyob Mergia, HappyMaddyArt, Jas Le, Joseph Watson, Joyce Rainbow Art, Kaleb Wesolek, Manny Perez, and Xochil Xitlalli.

Enjoy the musical stylings of Stuck in Reverse, who have entertained local audiences with their delightful mix of bluegrass, gospel and original music.

Award-winning performer Ray Winters brings his many disciplines to bear on the Chalk It Up! stage with a set of popular rock and pop classics.

Help us cap off this year’s Chalk It Up! Festival with a remarkable concert featuring local musical ensemble Desert Opus as they perform classic compositions by legendary composer Franz Schubert.

The library district's very own shadow puppets team will bring us two performances of their renowned puppet program.

LUGVegas (LEGO® Users Group of Southern Nevada) will share a host of wondrous brick creations, including architecture, cityscapes, and motorized inventions.

Join us for our Mini LEGO® Projects drop-in workshop with LEGO® enthusiast Nicole Blubaugh. Participants will be taught how to construct a variety of fun stuff using LEGO® bricks. All materials will be provided. Projects will be returned at the end of the workshop to be displayed in the library.

The byzantine minds at Walk Vegas will bring us another twisty chalk labyrinth this year, while a host of caricature artists and face painters will add much color to the festivities!

Opened in August 1993, the Summerlin Library is located on six-acres of donated land by the Howard Hughes Corporation. This 40,165-square-foot library houses 59,200 volumes and features a 291-seat proscenium theater complete with an orchestra pit and fly loft.
