Teens are invited to register for our special Teen Sewing Safety Course! Become trained to use one of our sewing machines in this registration-only class.
In this beginner class, you’ll learn:
· Machine safety
· Set-up
· How to identify parts of the machine
· How to thread a machine and bobbin
· How to use the machine
Once you’ve completed this class, our staff will verify your competency with the machine and grant you approval to register for other age-appropriate sewing events at various Las Vegas-Clark County library locations.
After the training portion of the class, you will also complete your first project!
The Teen Zone is open Monday - Saturday from 3 p.m. - 5 p.m. Attendants must be between the ages of 12-17 or in grades 6-12. Activities are available while supplies last.
