Inside the Orchestra offers a rare, immersive experience into the inner workings of a Mozart performance.
Musicians from the Young Artists Orchestra invite audience members to sit among them during an open rehearsal and live performance of a selected Mozart work.
This interactive event reveals how musicians communicate, interpret, and refine the music in real time—blurring the line between rehearsal and concert. Audience members will witness the collaborative process firsthand, gaining a deeper appreciation for the artistry and nuance behind every note. The experience culminates in a complete performance, surrounded by the very musicians who brought the music to life.

In celebration of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s 270th birthday, the Young Artists Orchestra of Las Vegas presents Mozart: Timeless at 270—a five-concert series in partnership with The Library District. This special series honors the enduring genius of one of classical music’s most iconic composers through performances of his symphonies, chamber works, operatic excerpts, and more.
From intimate salon-style concerts and lecture/performances to immersive, interactive experiences, each event offers a fresh lens into Mozart’s world. Audiences will hear beloved works for piano, strings, and clarinet, discover the connections between Mozart’s music and early childhood development, explore his operatic brilliance, and even sit inside the orchestra to witness music-making from the performer’s perspective. Spanning Mozart’s youthful charm to his mature masterpieces, this series invites audiences of all ages to rediscover the beauty, clarity, and timeless spirit of his music.

The Windmill Library opened in May 2011 in the southwest part of Las Vegas. This 30,693-square-foot, energy efficient location was built using sustainable design and construction practices, houses over 95,700 volumes, and features a 300-seat auditorium. The adjacent Service Center houses the Library District’s administrative offices, support functions, and processing center.
