A Public Fit Theatre Company (APF) continue their 2025-2026 season with a script in hand production of Octavio Solis' "Mother Road," directed by Gigi Guizado.
William Joad is dying. In his quest to connect with his only living heir, he embarks on an epic - and familiar - cross-country journey: traveling from California back to his family farm in Oklahoma. Octavio Solis’ Mother Road is a mythic, no-holds-barred sequel to Steinbeck’s The Grapes of Wrath, where destiny and legacy collide in a modern era decades removed from the dustbowl of the 1930s. A contemporary fable about inclusion, exclusion, and the difficult necessity of healing, Solis has crafted a poetic reckoning with a true American classic.
Following the performance, APF artists will continue the conversation with The Buzzz, an interactive discussion between the production cast/crew and the audience.
Free and open to the public. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis and may be limited. For more information, please call 702.507.3964.
