Media Shorts
A Book's Journey
Wednesday, September 02
4:00pm - 6:00pm
Media Shorts is a weekly teen program where creativity meets technology. Help us create a short film!
Let your voice be heard. Join us for Media Shorts, a hands-on creative lab where teens dive into the world of digital storytelling. Our focus is the medium of videography. Join us as we storyboard, learn the technology we're going to use to film, edit, voice over, and compile a short film about a book's journey at the library. Learn the tools, and tricks to bring your ideas to life. This is your space to experiment, express, and create. No experience needed, bring your opinions and imagination. Come curious, leave inspired.
For teens ages 12-17, located in the Flamingo Teen Lab on the main floor of the library.
Teens may be asked to show student I.D.

Originally opening in 1966 as a three-room library within the Airport Annex building, the Clark County Library moved in 1967 to a storefront. In 1971, the library moved again to its current location using deeded land from the County and with money awarded by the Max C. Fleishman Foundation. The building went on to have two remodels: one completed in 1986, and the second completed in 1994, which resulted in the three-story, 120,000-square-foot building it is today. This redesign notably included a 399-seat theater and an 80-seat black box theater/dance studio. The Library District also added the Best Buy Teen Tech Center, which provides a place for teens to explore and master new technologies and digital skills.
