Celebrate Día de Muertos / Day of the Dead at the East Las Vegas Library. Free and open to the public
East Las Vegas Library invites the community to our 5th annual Día de Muertos celebration. Join us in honoring your dearly departed loved ones. Take part in traditional Mexican crafts, add color to our custom mural, enjoy family face painting, and savour a piece of pan dulce. Admire a large-scale alebrije and a beautiful community ofrenda. Experience a mole cooking demonstration, enjoy live music and dancing, and join in on our vibrant calaveritas parade through the library.
Biblioteca East Las Vegas invita a la comunidad a nuestra 5.ª celebración anual del Día de Muertos. Acompáñanos a honrar a tus seres queridos difuntos. Participa en artesanías tradicionales mexicanas, agrega color a nuestro mural comunitario, disfruta de pintura facial familiar y saborea un pedacito de pan dulce. This 41,015-square-foot library was completed in 2019 and is in the heart of the Latino community serving its residents with over 50,000 volumes. As the newest addition to the Library District, this location emphasizes many Spanish and bilingual materials, resources, and programs. It offers career services through the EmployNV Career Hub, where customers have access to computer labs, skills training, and employment programs, as well as the Built from Scratch Tech Lab, which provides access to music production and video editing workstations, DJ equipment, and a sound booth.
