Join Nevada Shakespeare Festival for a lightning quick retelling of a seldom done Shakespearean slasher. It deals with themes of family, honor, misplaced loyalties and revenge.
The adaptation of this play will be presented in the style of a Grindhouse film; act one as a slasher and act two as a revenge thriller. It will be a stylized presentation with some action!
Titus Andronicus was a warrior without equal, a force to be reckoned with and a guardian of justice who became a living legend. But in a world caught in the grips of tyrannical rule that no longer embraces honor, tradition or sacrifice; one man returns home to find his world shattered. Allies have turned to enemies and even the most celebrated warrior will find out that revenge has a price...and it’s expensive.
Titus Andronicus is believed to be one of Shakespeare's most produced plays during his life time.
