To teach a number of life skills utilizing hands-on activities
The goal is to teach various life skills through hands-on activities in an environment where each participant can immediately "practice" the newly learned skill. This prompt reinforcement equips youth for the transition from high school to adulthood.

The mining town of Searchlight is located halfway between Las Vegas and Laughlin. The first library opened in 1969 and moved into a joint facility in July 1989. Constructed with funds from the Federal Block Grant, the 1,200-square-foot library houses over 4,600 volumes and shares a building with the Colorado River Food Bank and the Searchlight Museum.
