Opera Las Vegas celebrates the African-American operatic legacy and honors the triumphs of beloved singers and composers, framed in a narration that recalls the often-challenging route to inclusion.
Brilliant local singers will star, performing musical selections paying homage to mega-stars (Leontyne Price, William Warfield, Shirley Verrett); famous composers (Scott Joplin); and operas based on African-American life (Porgy and Bess, Treemonisha).
Free and open to the public. Seating is first-come, first-served and may be limited. For more information, please call 702.507.3964.
