AuditoriumA unique Hip Hop concert experience! "Hip Hop Reimagined" explores the history of rap with original interpretations that bridge the gap between classical music and hip-hop culture.
Join Windmill Library for this special, one-of-a-kind hip hop concert presentation featuring the Jeekl String Quartet with music arranged by composer Arturo Hernandez.
The Jeekl String Quartet, formed by Evyn Joseph, Leanna Oliver (violins), Jason Guzman (viola), and Joshua Goldstone (cello), aims to create a personal connection with audiences through their performances that highlight chamber works for strings. Founded in 2024 at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, the quartet has developed a warm, engaging sound and has performed at many local venues, including the Dr. Arturo Rando-Grillot Hall, Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall, and the Winchester Dondero Cultural Center.
What started as a friendship has evolved into a cohesive ensemble over two years, marked by vibrant performances of the quartets of Mendelssohn, Debussy, and Haydn. They also perform works by underrepresented composers like Jessie Montgomery and Florence Price, demonstrating their dedication to engaging the community with diverse chamber music experiences throughout Las Vegas.
Free and open to the public. Seating is first-come, first-served, and may be limited. For more information call 702.507.6068.
